Birtch Farms Food & Wine Festival September

This event was created to celebrate food and wine in a “slow food” kind of way. Wind your way through the tables loaded with “tastes”of local food, specially created by local chefs, chef producers and foodies to be paired with Birtch Farms wines.

this event is like a tasting event, tickets are $1.00 each, and each booth sells their products for 1 2 or 3 tickets. Tickets only available on the day of the event.

Wellesley Apple Butter & Cheese Festival

The Wellesley Apple Butter & Cheese Festival, held every year on the last Saturday in September, is one of the premier autumn festivals in Ontario. This one day event is all about the food, flavours, sights, sounds, entertainment and country charm.

The proceeds from the festival are used for major projects within the village of Wellesley. Funds have been used for building an arena, buying parkland, building a ball diamond and soccer field, paving the parking lots at the arena and community centre, uptown beautification through proper curbing and brick sidewalks, buying equipment for the fire department, renovating the community centre with a new kitchen and air conditioning, renovating the arena and installing new flooring in the dressing rooms.

Company Overview

In celebration of some of the town's most well-known exports, the Wellesley Apple Butter and Cheese Festival was first held in 1975, and has been held annually on the last Saturday in September ever since. The festivities include many street market venues, coach rides, remote-controlled boat races, open heritage sites and amusements, horeshoe-pitching contests, guided farm tours, live music, meals that can be purchased on the main street, and a classic car show, all of which now attract thousands of visitors each year.
